What Makes EPDM Special?
A common poured-in-place system uses an SBR base layer for impact absorption and an EPDM top layer as the wearing surface. Performance depends on the complete assembly, including binder, thickness, substrate and drainage, not just the top-layer material.

What thickness of EPDM do I need?

There is no universal 40mm-for-1.5m rule. Check laboratory reports, the specified substrate and layers, installation and appropriate field testing. Gym and adult fitness flooring require their own use-specific specification.
What colours are available for EPDM flooring?
EPDM granules are available in a range of colours and blends. Confirm availability and compatibility with the specified tested system; colour stability depends on the product and exposure.
Can EPDM be used for swimming pool surrounds?
Some systems may suit pool surrounds, subject to evidence for wet slip resistance, drainage, cleaning and chemical exposure. Playground impact testing does not establish suitability for a pool deck; verify the intended-use specification.
Can EPDM be repaired without replacing the whole surface?
Localised repairs may be suitable after assessing the cause and extent of damage, base condition and system performance. There is no universal percentage-of-damage rule for replacement. Use compatible manufacturer-approved repair methods and verify the repaired system before reopening.
How long does EPDM repair take?
Duration depends on repair scope, site conditions, product instructions and weather. Keep the affected area securely closed during work and curing. Reopen only after the manufacturer curing requirements and the agreed inspection and testing requirements have been satisfied, not after a universal 24–48-hour interval.
What causes EPDM to deteriorate in Singapore?

Can gym flooring be installed outdoors in Singapore?

Is rubber gym flooring easy to maintain?
